Dave Knows: Elko

 Cooper and Ollie are officially 1 year old so we threw a little party over the weekend.  We invited their brother Tully and brother-from-another-mother Monson over.   There were balloons, streamers, doggie bags, cake (with dog-friendly ingredients of course) and everyone seemed to have a great time, with very little humping. 

We even invited the cats.  Here’s Boxer having the time of his life:

Here are the little carrot and salmonella-free peanut butter muffins.  They actually smelled really good, I wanted to try one before the dogs got to ‘em. 

 We frosted them with plain yogurt and topped them with a little doggie breathmint.   Here’s Cooper enjoying his muffin at the table.  He scarfed it down: 

At first, Ollie was a little nervous about the whole eating at the table thing but he figured it out:

Tully wasn’t too interested and Monson just got this weird look on his face and wouldn’t touch it until we put it on the floor.

We made another cake which had turkey baby food and crumbled up beef jerky: 

Yes, those are pig ears.  For that cake we took it into the backyard and let the dogs go at it.  Even Marty got involved:

Next year we’ll probably celebrate their birthday in the spring or summer so we can have a bigger party outside with more invited doggie-friends.  Happy Birthday Cooper and Ollie!!!
