I don’t think the Elko Chamber of Commerce wants to admit it, but the event of the year is not the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in January, it’s definitely the Elko Motorcycle Jamboree this weekend. This will be our third Jamboree, and while we don’t own a motorcycle, it’s still the best event by far. Just the sheer mass of people is overwhelming. Food, vendors, free bike stunt shows, wet T-shirt contests, concerts, it’s all here. And it looks like the weather is cooperating this year, so it should be a ton of fun. The event runs Friday, June 20th, through Sunday the 22nd. Here are a few pics from last year:
